The message reads, in part:
“Your meetings, which take place on the eve of National Unity Day, have long become a good tradition, and today Moscow once again warmly welcomes guests of the Assembly: famous cultural figures, diplomats, academics, teachers of the Russian language and literature, representatives of public, religious and youth organisations, the media, and our compatriots and friends from around the world.
During a detailed and thoughtful conversation, you will focus on a wide range of issues related to the popularisation of the Russian language and literature, promotion of the Russian-language information space, and preservation of the rich, multifaceted historical, creative, and spiritual heritage of the Russian world.
The participants who have come to the Assembly will enjoy a rich cultural programme and interesting educational tours, including a visit to the large Russia exhibition. Its extensive and informative display shows the achievements, successes, and original traditions of all regions of our large country.
I am sure that this year’s forum will be productive and will contribute to the development of international humanitarian cooperation, as well as professional and personal contacts. Let me stress that Russia is always open to strengthening friendly partnerships in all areas and promoting the values that unite us.”
