During the telephone conversation, President of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan congratulated Vladimir Putin on his unequivocal victory in the presidential election, wished him further success in his top government position and thanked him for his attention to the strengthening of relations between Russia and the UAE.
Having thanked the UAE leader for his kind wishes, Vladimir Putin in turn congratulated Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and all people of the UAE on the holy Muslim month of Ramadan.
Both leaders expressed satisfaction with the steady development of trade and economic cooperation that set new records last year. Russia and the United Arab Emirates will continue close cooperation at the international level, including various multilateral platforms.
The leaders also discussed the situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in the context of the efforts of the two countries to render humanitarian aid to the people of the Gaza Strip.
