“The history of Russian civil aviation is a chronicle of bright and memorable events and accomplishments by many generations of talented scientists, designers, engineers and other professionals, the courageous test pilots and efficient crews who faithfully and selflessly served our Motherland, earned fame for our country as a leading aviation power, and set high standards of air transport safety.
It is gratifying to know that you carry on the legendary traditions of your predecessors, developing air communication, starting new interregional and international destinations, improving ground infrastructure and air navigation systems, as well as offering new services and opportunities for passengers and cargo companies. On this day, I would like to extend my warmest and most sincere greetings to retired civil aviation employees who set the example to the current generation of civil aviation personnel.
I am confident that the staff of our air carriers and other related enterprises and agencies will continue working effectively to fulfil their tasks in the interests of the Fatherland.”
