The message reads, in part:
“In 2025, together with the peoples of other nations who cherish the grateful memory of true heroes and liberators, we are marking the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. A significant number of academic, educational publications and literary fiction mark this important occasion. Among them is this collection, which includes articles written by members of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
The Great Patriotic War left a profound mark on the fate of every family, every individual and entire generations. We will always remember the feat of our fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers who withstood every trial, defeated Nazism, defended the freedom and independence of our homeland, and saved Europe and the world.
Today, as we face serious challenges, the preservation of our historical legacy has taken on a special, truly decisive importance. It is the foundation upon which our national identity, our civic and patriotic ideals and values are built. We must firmly uphold the truth about the Great Patriotic War and study its lessons in depth. This is of fundamental importance for ensuring the national security of our country and for shaping the priorities of both foreign and domestic policy in the modern era, the 21st century.”
The President expressed confidence that this publication will be of interest to wide audiences and will contribute to the patriotic education of young people.
