The message reads, in part:
“Your annual meetings bring together medical professionals from across the country: surgeons and oncologists, diagnostics experts and prosthetists, rehabilitation specialists and healthcare administrators. This comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach has major practical significance: it allows key professional issues to be debated at a high expert level, facilitates the exchange of accumulated experience, and helps develop new approaches to providing more effective medical care.
This year’s forum is special as it is dedicated to the 140th birth anniversary of our outstanding compatriot Nikolai Priorov, a talented scientist and doctor, and a brave and resilient person wholly dedicated to his vocation. Academician Priorov is rightfully regarded as the founder of the national orthopaedics school. The Central Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedics was established largely due to his exceptional authority, hard work and enthusiasm. The Institute now ranks among Russia’s leading medical research centres.
It is heartening to see you carrying forward the noble traditions of compassion and selfless service laid down by your predecessors, adopting advanced technologies and unique engineering solutions, and helping create favourable living conditions for people with disabilities, as well as opportunities for their self-realisation. I would like to especially note your practical support for participants and veterans of the special military operation.”
