Twenty-five prisoners escaped last night from a pre-trial detention facility belonging to Tajikistan’s State Committee on National Security, killing several guards and seizing their weapons. The prisoners, who had all been sentenced to long terms of imprisonment, included four citizens of Afghanistan, six citizens of Russia, and citizens of Tajikistan.
