Congratulations to President of Mali Amadou Tourani Toure

Dmitry Medvedev congratulated President of Mali Amadou Tourani Toure on the 50th anniversary of Mali’s independence.

14:40

The message reads, in part:

“Over its 50 years of sovereign development, your country has travelled the difficult road of building its statehood and laying its political, social and economic foundations. These efforts have brought impressive results, for Mali today enjoys a reputation as a stable and responsible member of the international community and a country making a big contribution to resolving the problems facing the African continent.

Russia and Mali share strong traditions of friendship and constructive cooperation in international affairs and in carrying out joint projects in various sectors. We are ready to expand our mutually advantageous ties, making use of our abundant experience of cooperation in different areas.

I am sure that deeper ties between our countries will serve our peoples’ interests and play a big part in helping to ensure stability and security in the region and in the world in general.”
