President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev: Vladimir Vladimirovich! I have been told that you have an idea on how to improve the structure of the cabinet. What is it?
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin: It concerns preparations for the 2014 Olympic Games. In general, work is proceeding according to schedule. However, it would perhaps be useful to give the process further impetus and focus additional administrative resources in this area. Therefore after consultations with the International Olympic Committee, I would consider it appropriate to introduce an additional position in the cabinet of the Russian Federation, that of Deputy Prime Minister, who would exclusively or primarily oversee the preparations for the Olympic Games in Sochi and, of course, benefit from the necessary powers to do so.
Dmitry Medvedev: We have already discussed this idea. I also think it seems reasonable. Let's prepare the documents.
Vladimir Putin: Then we will present a candidate to you.
