President of The Russian Federation Vladimir Putin: Robert Sedrakovich, I want to thank you once again for coming to this informal summit, and I would like to take this opportunity to talk with you about our bilateral affairs. We hope that one of the newly elected Armenian President’s first visits will be to Russia. This is something we spoke about. I would like to ask you to pass on to him the invitation to visit the Russian Federation. I also want to thank you for the direct support you have provided over these years, support that has enabled us to accomplish much to develop the relations between our two countries, both economic and political ties.
President of Armenia Robert Kocharian: Thank you for your warm words, Vladimir Vladimirovich. If we look at what we have accomplished over these years we see that our relations have indeed developed considerably in all areas. These years have been very fruitful for both Russia and Armenia and I think that all of this together has created a particular atmosphere and particular conditions. Armenia values its ties with Russia and I think it is very important that economic cooperation is now playing such a fundamental role and has become the driving force of our bilateral relations.
Of course, we have a broad agenda. There are always various issues that need to be discussed and it is very important, I think, to bring each other up to date and coordinate our work.
