President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Colleagues, today we will address an issue that, upon the first look, has no direct relation to the work of the Security Council and its briefing session. However, I believe it is no coincidence that it is on our agenda. I am talking about the development of the rare and rare earth metals industry to ensure the technological sovereignty and national security of the Russian Federation. This issue is extremely important for all participants in our meeting – and it is clear why.
