President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Friends,

Let me send you my greetings. We want to congratulate you from here at the Museum of Cosmonautics on the upcoming holiday that we will celebrate in Russia: Cosmonautics Day.

A representative international team is working in orbit today that includes citizens of Russia, Japan and the United States. We know that you are carrying out wide-ranging work. I congratulate you on this holiday, wish you success, and as we say on such occasions, I wish you a safe return to our native Earth.

Today we are meeting with the head of an influential international organisation that you know very well – COSPAR. It is with pleasure that I now give the floor to the head of this organisation.

President of the International Committee On Space Research Giovanni Bignami: Good morning everyone,

I’m very glad to bring you from Moscow the greetings of COSPAR, the international space research organisation, which brings together most countries in the world active in space. As the President was saying, you are doing a very splendid and difficult job, but you look in great shape. Thank you very much for talking to us. Thank you.

Flight Engineer Mikhail Tyurin (Russia): Hello, it makes us very happy to hear your words. We are very pleased too, to receive your congratulations, and in our turn we also congratulate everyone on the holiday.

Vladimir Putin: I wish you success and good luck. Happy Holiday! All the best!
