Andrei Vorobyov began his report with the modernisation of infrastructure, including heat, power, and water supply noting that the region’s population is growing and now stands at about nine million people. A major national environmental project is being implemented. Around 30 large water treatment plants are being built in the region. Another important aspect concerns the introduction of modern sensors and technologies that make it possible to anticipate declines in certain parameters. To this end, dispatcher services are being fully transformed. The goal is to significantly renovate heat, water supply and water disposal, as well as power supply over the next three years.
The Governor also noted that together with Gazprom, the region continues to develop its gas infrastructure. This project is very much sought after.
Noting that he heads the State Council Commission on Data Economy, Andrei Vorobyov informed the President about an experiment to introduce artificial intelligence, conducted jointly with the federal Government, which is designed, in particular, to reduce reporting requirements. The experiment was a success. The point is that reporting and the number of documents is halved and several agencies are brought together within unified reporting requirements and operate on a shared platform. Andrei Vorobyov asked the President to support extending the experiment to 44 agencies. The President supported this proposal.
Overall, in the field of AI implementation, the region started out with 13 projects and now operates 42. In particular, this makes it possible to save funds and provide services faster and at a lower cost.
The Governor also reported that the creation of industrial parks in the region continues. There are eight such locations in the Moscow Region. He noted that despite the existing challenges, the parks get populated, and residents are ready to invest in aircraft manufacturing, pumps, and robotics.
Andrei Vorobyov also spoke about engagement with participants in the special military operation and their families, as well as about four rehabilitation centres in the region. Similar to the Time of Heroes federal programme, a regional project, the Heroes of the Moscow Region, is being implemented.
The Governor also answered the President’s question about social coordinators who work with veterans of the special military operation and their families. According to Andrei Vorobyov, there are 80 social coordinators in the region. They provide ongoing support to their wards that live in different parts of the Moscow Region. This institution has a proven track record. A total of 35,000 people have applied to the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation. The President suggested paying particular attention to the issues of most concern for those who have returned from the combat zone and their family members, such as various types of payments, legal assistance, and other support measures. Vladimir Putin asked the Governor to monitor these matters at all times.
