Vladimir Putin met with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in Astana to discuss development prospects for bilateral relations, the global economic situation and international affairs. After that the presidents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan held a trilateral meeting. Vladimir Putin, Alexander Lukashenko and Nursultan Nazarbayev discussed trade and economic cooperation between the three countries, developing the Eurasian integration process in the context of current global economic trends and their impact, and the situation in Ukraine. The three presidents made press statements following their talks. Later, Mr Putin, Mr Lukashenko and Mr Nazarbayev visited the First President of Kazakhstan Library.
