The President has
completed his working visit to St Petersburg where he attended the 20th St
Petersburg International Economic Forum. Before the start of the official
programme, Vladimir Putin had an informal meeting with former President of France Nicolas Sarkozy. During SPIEF, the head of the Russian state held
several bilateral meetings, spoke at the plenary session, talked to members of the Russian Direct Investment Fund expert council and representatives of the international investment community, to heads of major foreign corporations and business associations, and heads of international news agencies. Vladimir Putin
also had talks with Prime Minister of Italy Matteo Renzi. Following the talks,
the leaders signed a set of documents and gave a joint news conference. The President also met with President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The meeting focused on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh
conflict. Later, the President had an informal meeting with students
participating in the International Collegiate Programming Contest. At the end of the trip, Vladimir Putin visited Lenfilm studios where he learned
about contemporary film production.
