In the course of his two-day visit to Uzbekistan, Vladimir
Putin attended an anniversary meeting of the SCO Heads of State Council, following
which a package of documents was signed. President Putin also had a number of meetings with foreign leaders, in particular, with President of Uzbekistan
Islam Karimov, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra
Modi. A tripartite meeting also took place, between Vladimir Putin, Chinese
President Xi Jinping and Mongolian President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj. In addition,
the presidents of Russia and Uzbekistan laid flowers at the Alexander Pushkin
monument in central Tashkent. At the conclusion of his working visit to Uzbekistan, the Russian head of state responded to questions from reporters.
