Vladimir Putin visited the Chernigovets open-pit mine where he toured the facility and spoke to employees. In Kemerovo, the President also held a meeting of the Presidential Commission for the Strategic Development of the Fuel and Energy Sector and Environmental Security.
Vladimir Putin also laid flowers at the Kuzbass Coal Miners Memorial at the Krasnaya Gorka museum and reserve.
The President finished his trip with a working meeting with Acting Governor Sergei Tsivilyov.
