Vladimir Putin made a three-day trip
to Primorye Territory.
On September 10, Russian-Japanese talks
were held, followed by the signing of a package of bilateral documents and statements for the press. Before the talks, the President of Russia and the Prime Minister of Japan visited the Mazda Sollers Engine Plant.
On the same day, the Russian President
held a meeting of the State Council Presidium on the implementation of the President’s May Executive Order on expediting socio-economic development in the Far East.
Vladimir Putin familiarised himself with
Vladivostok’s museum, theatre and educational complex project and attended the signing
of an agreement on Aeroflot’s purchase of Sukhoi Superjet-100 craft.
In addition, the President inspected
the exhibition of priority development areas of the Far East, after which he
took part in a ceremony to launch an agricultural centre in Primorye and the new
construction of two production lines.
On September 11, Vladimir Putin
visited the Zvezda Ship-Building complex. He also held a meeting with
representatives of foreign business circles and took part in Russia-China talks
that produced a package of documents and were followed by statements for the press.
In addition, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping met with participants in a roundtable
discussion on Russian-Chinese interregional cooperation and visited the exhibit
A Street in the Far East.
At the end of the second day, Vladimir
Putin held a meeting with the region’s Acting Governor Andrei Tarasenko.
On September 12, the President spoke
at the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum, took part in the awards
ceremony for the winners of the Far East Tall Ship Regatta and visited the photo exhibit on the history of Russian-Chinese cooperation.
Vladimir Putin also visited the Okean National Children’s Centre and a judo tournament.
The President met with President of Mongolia
Khaltmaagiin Battulga and Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Lee Nak-yeon on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum.
