Trip to St Petersburg. 75th anniversary of complete liberation of Leningrad from Nazi siege
Vladimir Putin took part in commemorative events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of breaking the Nazi siege of Leningrad.
The President laid flowers at the Landmark Stone monument at Nevsky Pyatachok military historical site, and visited the Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery, where he honoured the memory of those who died in Leningrad and the defenders of the city, laying a wreath at the Motherland monument.
The President visited an exhibition organised by the Lenrezerv patriotic association to mark the 75th anniversary of breaking the siege, and attended a concert titled Listen, Country, this is Leningrad Speaking.
Vladimir Putin also held a working meeting with Acting Governor of St Petersburg Alexander Beglov.
