Vladimir Putin travelled by rail
from Kerch to Taman. He rode part of the way across the Kerch Strait at the front of the train together with the driver, and then he moved to one of the carriages, where he spoke with workers and engineers involved in the construction
of the bridge. During the trip, Transport Minister Yevgeny Ditrikh reported on the further tasks for the development of the Crimean railway network.
Arriving in Taman, the President
took part, via videoconference, in the departure of the first
passenger train from St Petersburg to Sevastopol, which will arrive in the peninsula along the Crimean Bridge.
Then, Vladimir Putin visited the Republic of Adygeya, where he toured the Zeleny Dom [Green House] modern agricultural enterprise and met
with representatives of the public to discuss the development of agriculture
and rural areas.
