On September 11, Vladimir Putin
visited the Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex in the city of Bolshoi Kamen and took
part in the naming ceremony for two new tankers. While visiting the Far Eastern
Federal University, the President watched an interactive presentation
highlighting the performance of Russia’s Far East.
That same day, the President chaired
a meeting on the development of Far Eastern cities and listened, via
videoconference, to a report on establishing museum and cultural-educational
clusters in Vladivostok, Kemerovo, Kaliningrad and Sevastopol. Vladimir Putin
also met with Primorye Territory Governor Oleg Kozhemyako.
On September 12, the President took
part in a plenary session of the 8th Eastern Economic Forum. Ahead
of the session, the President held bilateral talks with the Vice President of Laos and the Vice Premier of the PRC State Council, and he also spoke with the moderators
of the Eastern Economic Forum’s sessions.
