Trip to Bashkortostan
In Ufa, the President visited the republican Fencing Training Centre, where he viewed a presentation, via videoconference, of the new sports facilities that opened in 2024.
After that, Vladimir Putin spoke with participants in the Heroes of Our Time tournament for the special military operation veterans and addressed the plenary session of the 12th Russia – Country of Sports International Sports Forum. At the forum, he met with President of the Asian Chess Federation Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan.
In addition, Vladimir Putin, held a meeting of the Presidential Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sport on the role of NGOs in promoting physical culture and sport.
At the end of his working trip to Bashkortostan, the President met with the head of the region Radiy Khabirov.
