On the first day of the state visit, Russia-Kazakhstan talks took place at the Akorda residence.
Following the consultations, the presidents signed a joint statement; several
intergovernmental, inter-agency and business documents were also signed.
Vladimir Putin and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev addressed, via videoconference, the plenary session of the 20th Russia-Kazakhstan Interregional
Cooperation Forum in Ufa.
The next day, Vladimir
Putin took part in a meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council that summarised
the results of this year’s cooperation and outlined the areas for further
improvement of the collective security system. At the end of the visit, the Russian President answered questions from the media.
