Working trip to St Petersburg and Leningrad Region
On the 81st anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi siege, Vladimir Putin laid flowers at the Landmark Stone monument at the Nevsky Pyatachok in the Leningrad Region and took part in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Motherland monument at the Piskarevskoye Memorial Cemetery in St Petersburg.
The President also delivered a speech at the Leningrad Victory concert and presented veterans with jubilee medals, 80 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945.
The head of state also held a meeting with St Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov.
