The discussion focused on the situation in the southeast of Ukraine, specifically in view of the upcoming meeting in Moscow with French President Francois Hollande and German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Taking part in the meeting were Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Federal Security Service Director Alexander Bortnikov, Foreign Intelligence Service Director Mikhail Fradkov, and permanent member of the Security Council Boris Gryzlov.
