The discussion focussed on the situation in Syria and the course of Russia’s Aerospace Forces operation to support the advance of the Syrian army.
Members of the Security Council also discussed combatting terrorism and extremism in a broader context: Vladimir Putin once again expressed condolences to the people of Turkey in connection with the terrorist act in Ankara today.
There was also an exchange on current domestic socioeconomic matters.
