The festival’s aim is to unite the musicians whose talents and creative ideas are called on to expand the cultural heritage of their countries, Svetlana Medvedeva said. The emerging talents of young performers from 20 countries, including France, Canada, Belgium, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, are taking part in this year’s festival.
The festival participants have a unique opportunity to perform with the Moscow Virtuosi State Chamber Orchestra under Vladimir Spivakov. Svetlana Medvedeva expressed confidence that the outstanding maestro’s lessons will remain with the young musicians for a long time.
The concert’s guests of honour were Queen Paola of Belgium, First Lady of Armenia Rita Sargsyan, First Lady of Cyprus Elsie Christofias and First Lady of Slovenia Barbara Miklic Turk.
