The main goal of the event is to create a network of free diagnostics centres for women’s health. The First Lady reminded the audience that White Rose charity clinics have already opened in St Petersburg and Vladivostok. In the future, similar centres will open in other Russian cities.
Svetlana Medvedeva emphasised that in recent years, priority attention has been given to healthcare development in Russia. Last year the measures taken helped decrease cancer mortality rates for the first time in five years.
But the problem remains very serious, and that is precisely why the entire society needs to get involved in its resolution, the First Lady stressed. She thanked the charity event participants for their help in creating diagnostics centres and called on members of the professional medical community, the business, and all those who care to join the White Rose campaign.
