The meeting will discuss developing Russian business and making it more competitive on the global market in the context of Russia’s membership in the World Trade Organisation.
Governor of Belgorod Region Yevgeny Savchenko and Minister of Economic Development Alexei Ulyukayev will make the main presentations.
Discussion will centre on a number of aspects that directly affect Russian business and its situation on markets abroad, including the sanctions currently imposed against Russia. Issues to be examined include possibilities for import replacement and technological modernisation, adapting regional economies to WTO rules, financial recovery and long-term development programmes for the leading companies.
Attending the meeting will be Government members, heads of the relevant ministries and agencies, economic officials, and representatives of business and entrepreneurs’ associations.
