The Forum’s theme this year is Innovation in the Hydrocarbons Sector. Participants will include the heads of key ministries and agencies, the heads of a number of Russian and Kazakhstani regions, and business leaders. The two countries have held an annual forum of this kind since 2003, with the last meeting in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
Before the Forum’s plenary session begins, the two Presidents will hold separate talks to discuss current matters in bilateral relations and integration cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union, which is currently in the process of formation.
