The meeting will focus on the implementation of the National Technology Initiative, one of the key tasks set by the President in his Address to the Federal Assembly in December 2014.
ASI directors will submit for discussion support scenarios for nine promising markets of new technologies that could be worth $100 billion and more in 15 to 20 years. At the current stage, these markets are either non-existent in Russia or are under-developed. This includes the market for artificial intelligence and Big Data management systems; new energy sources, markets for unmanned aerial vehicles, unmanned maritime transport control systems and unmanned road vehicles, as well as personalised medicine, decentralised financial and energy systems, artificial intelligence components and security.
If a positive decision is reached on any of these areas, development roadmaps will form the basis of the new state policy in innovations.
In addition, the Supervisory Board members will consider the National Investment Climate Rating in the regions of the Russian Federation.
