Novoportovskoye is one of the largest oil and gas condensate fields on the Yamal Peninsula. Its recoverable oil reserves exceed 250 million tonnes of oil and gas condensate and over 320 billion cubic metres of natural gas. It is located beyond the Polar Circle, far from oil pipelines, making marine transportation along a route via Cape Kamenny thee optimal solution. The Vorota Arktiki (Arctic Gate) terminal, with an annual capacity of up to 8.5 million tonnes of oil, has been built for this purpose in the Gulf of Ob.
