The President will be shown the production process at the public joint-stock company Acron, which is launching a new project, Ammonia-4. Also, Mr Putin will take part, via videoconference, in a ceremony bringing the Oleny Ruchei mining and processing plant, the Acron Group’s production site in the Murmansk Region, to full capacity.
Later, the President will hold a meeting with the Government’s economic block and business representatives on the production and use of rare earth metals.
Acron public joint-stock company is part of the Acron Group, one of the world’s largest producers of mineral fertilisers. In 2015, the company was ranked fourth in Russia for total production of nitrogen and phosphate fertilisers, and seventh among Russia’s ammonia producers.
