Vladimir Putin will take part in the Russian Popular Front (ONF) Action Forum on November 22

On November 22, the President will take part in the Russian Popular Front (ONF) Action Forum in Moscow.

Announcement, November 22, 2016

The forum’s participants will review the results not only of the past year of work, but of the movement’s entire activity over the last three years.

The forum is a traditional ONF event. This year, it will take place at the same time as the ONF congress, also an annual event since the founding congress in June 2013.

More than 1,000 people are expected to take part in the event, including federal and regional ONF experts, activists and ‘popular overseers' from across the country. Executive branch officials, State Duma deputies and journalists have also been invited to attend.

Seven thematic events will take place on the forum’s sidelines: An Honest and Effective Economy, Social Justice, Society and Government, Education and Culture, Quality of Everyday Life, Environment and Forest Protection, and For Honest Public Procurement. The discussions’ results and prospects for ONF further activities will be presented to Mr Putin at the forum’s plenary session.

ONF activists also organised two federal action forum events addressing specific themes: healthcare and education, and an environmental conference, in Irkutsk and Ulan-Ude. Since 2014, the ONF has also held the annual media forum for regional and local media, Truth and Justice, in St Petersburg.

Over the last three years, the ONF has conducted more than 350 monitoring activities, more than 2,500 surveys, more than 3,300 spot inspections, and held over 5,000 expert meetings and more than 8,500 round tables and away events.
