The council members will consider a draft of the country’s Science and Technology Development Strategy.
The President issued instructions to draft this strategy in July 2015. The Ministry of Education and Science was made responsible for drafting the strategy, while the Centre for Strategic Studies is responsible for analytical materials. This work involves representatives of the research and business communities, innovative development and civil society institutions and the authorities.
Over 200 experts took part in drafting the Science and Technology Development Strategy, and debates were held on the strategy’s website www.sntr-rf.ru.
Following coordination with all the concerned agencies, the draft Strategy was approved by the Presidium of the Council for Science and Education and forwarded to the Government.

At their next meeting, Vladimir Putin and Government members will continue to discuss the implementation of the Presidential Addresses to the Federal Assembly delivered in 2014 and 2015, listen to reports by representatives of the Government’s economic agencies and also discuss several current issues.
