On November 30, Vladimir Putin will attend the Primakov Readings International Forum, which are held to study the academic and political legacy of Yevgeny Primakov. The agenda includes speeches by Russian and foreign politicians, academics and public figures who knew Mr Primakov.
The Primakov Readings International Forum will be held at the Congress Centre of Moscow’s World Trade Centre with support from the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IMEMO).
Yevgeny Primakov was a politician, public figure and diplomat. He was one of Russia’s leading experts in oriental studies and a prominent scholar in the fields of the global economy and international relations. Mr Primakov was Prime Minister (1998–1999), Foreign Minister (1996–1998) and Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service (1991–1996).
