The meeting will examine Russia’s role and place in resolving global environmental problems and the main tasks for Russia’s long-term environmentally sustainable development, such as reducing risks of environmental degradation and natural resource exhaustion, cleaning up past environmental damage, spreading the use of modern clean technology in industry, and reducing harmful emissions.
The main speakers at the meeting will be Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Boris Dubrovsky and Natural Resources and Environment Minister Sergei Donskoy, who headed the working group to prepare the meeting.
