The Order of Parental Glory is awarded to biological and foster parents who have raised seven or more children and pay great attention to the next generation’s health, education and physical, spiritual and moral development, and who serve as role models in terms of strengthening the family as an institution. The order was instituted by a Presidential Executive Order in May 2008.
Later the same day, the President will meet with Russian animation filmmakers to discuss the state of affairs in the industry and its development prospects. Invitations have been extended to the country’s leading animation studios such as Soyuzmultfilm, Melnitsa, Riki, Animaccord, Wizart and KinoAtis.
There are some 50 animation studios in Russia, most of which produce auteur films. Only ten studios produce full-length animated films and series.
