The President will visit the Sirius Educational Centre for Gifted Children, where he will meet with students, see their projects, and hold a meeting of the Talent and Success Fund’s board of trustees.
The Sirius Educational Centre was established at facilities originally built for the Sochi Olympics, following a presidential initiative in December 2014. The centre’s goal is early detection, development and ongoing professional support for gifted children from all parts of Russia, who show exceptional talent in the arts, sports, sciences, and in technical creativity.
Every month, 600 children aged 10–17 study at the centre free of charge, accompanied by more than 100 teachers and coaches. A special educational programme designed for 24 days includes specialised classes as well as leisure activities to promote development, master classes, creative workshops with recognised professionals in various areas, health procedures, and general educational classes during the school year.
