On October 30, President of Russia Vladimir Putin will chair a meeting of the Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights.
The meeting will focus on measures to implement the State Policy Concept on immortalising the memory of victims of political repression.
The agenda also includes issues related to the Council’s activities on citizens’ ensuring environmental rights, in particular, access to information on environmental conditions and the construction of domestic waste processing facilities.

After the meeting, the President and the Council members will take part in the unveiling ceremony for the Wall of Sorrow memorial by sculptor Georgy Frangulyan. The event will take place on Akademika Sakharova Prospect in Moscow. Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia will also attend the ceremony.
