The President will tour the complex of monastic buildings following large-scale renovations financed by the Charity Fund established in 2008. Since then, 29 of the 31 facilities of the New Jerusalem Monastery have been restored and renovated.
The event will be attended by the co-chairs of the Charity Fund – Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, and Board Chairman of the Charity Fund Viktor Zubkov.
On the same day, at the Kremlin the President will present state awards to people of science, culture, the arts and education, as well as cosmonauts, workers, doctors, and heads of enterprises.
