The congress participants will gather in Moscow to discuss the main development areas and growth points of rail transport and related industries for the immediate future and a long term strategic plan up to 2050.
Representatives of industrial and transport companies, research centres, federal and regional authorities, and trade unions will take part in the discussions.
This Congress is the third industry convention (the previous ones were held in 2007 and 2011) will take place in the year of the industry’s anniversary – 180 years of Russian railways.
On the same day, Vladimir Putin will visit a repair depot at the Moscow-Kievskaya railway station. The President will inspect high-speed and regular passenger railcars and meet with depot workers responsible for the maintenance of passenger trains.
