Earth Hour is an annual international event established by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), aimed at drawing everyone’s attention to climate change. People in various countries will turn off their electrical devices and lights at the same time for one hour, and the landmark buildings in these countries will fall into darkness as well.
Earth Hour is the most popular mass event in history. In 2017, it was supported by over 2 billion people in 187 countries, including the residents of 150 Russian cities.
By decision of Vladimir Putin, the Moscow Kremlin joined Earth Hour in 2013.
