The same day, the President will address the 8th Moscow Urban Forum, which is scheduled to be held in Zaryadye Park between July 17 and 22. The main theme this year is Megacity of the Future: New Space for Living.
Vladimir Putin will also visit the forum’s exhibition on the key aspects of Moscow’s urban development.
The Moscow Urban Forum is a major international platform on the development challenges of global spaces and megacities that brings together members of urban governments, architects, urban planners, developers, heads of financial companies, investors, media representatives and average citizens. The forum is held annually since 2011 with support from the Moscow City Government.
This year, the forum organisers expect over 30 official delegations and over 6,000 delegates from 70 countries, including 300 speakers, half of them foreigners.
