The events will begin with laying flowers at the Monument to Minin and Pozharsky.
After that Vladimir Putin will attend the exhibition, Treasures of Russian Museums, held at the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall as part of the 17th church and public exhibition and forum Orthodox Russia Marks National Unity Day. Showcased at the exhibition are more than 280 of the most important works of art from 50 Russian museums created in the course of several centuries – from icons of the Rurik era up to the 20th century.
On the same day, during the gala reception on the occasion of National Unity Day at the Grand Kremlin Palace, the President will present a prize for contribution to strengthening the Russian nation’s unity and state awards to foreign citizens for special merits in strengthening peace, friendship, cooperation and understanding between nations, as well as preserving and popularising the Russian language and culture abroad.
