In his speech, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief will assess progress in building up the military and the activities of the Armed Forces in 2018, and provide guidelines for their further development.
Vladimir Putin will also present state decorations to formations, educational institutions and military units who have particularly distinguished themselves.
The commanders-in-chief of the types of armed forces and commanders of the branches of the armed forces, commanders of the central military administration bodies, the command staff of military districts, fleets, formations and individual units will take part in the expanded meeting, which will take place at the National Defence Operations Centre in Moscow.
Representatives of the Presidential Executive Office, the Government, the Federal Assembly, a number of other federal bodies, as well as representatives of veterans and public organisations, were also invited to the meeting.
