On April 12, Cosmonautics Day, Vladimir Putin will visit the Academician Glushko Science and Production Association Energomash to gain an insight into advanced research projects of companies affiliated with the integrated rocket-engine manufacturing system. He will also meet with corporate employees.
NPO Energomash is a leading Russian company developing liquid-propellant rocket engines for launch vehicles of different classes. Engines developed at enterprises, part of the above-mentioned integrated system, are installed on virtually all Russian launch vehicles, including Soyuz, Proton and Angara, as well as the US-made Atlas V and Antares launch vehicles and Russian-made spacecraft, orbital stations and multi-role space satellites.
On the same day, the President will speak at the gala evening First in Space, dedicated to Cosmonautics Day, in the State Kremlin Palace.
