On September 15–16, Vladimir Putin will visit the Republic of Uzbekistan and take part in the SCO Heads of State Council meeting in Samarkand.
The meeting will focus on the current activities of the SCO, the challenges and goals faced by the organisation in today’s geopolitical realities, as well as current international and regional issues. The heads of state are also expected to agree on further steps to improve the effectiveness of interaction within the SCO in various areas.
Following the meeting, a Samarkand Declaration will be signed and other joint documents will be adopted.
During his stay in Samarkand, the President of Russia will hold a number of bilateral meetings.
