On January 23, Vladimir Putin will take part in the All-Russian Family Forum Family – Loved Ones, which will include a ceremony to launch the Year of the Family in Russia.
More than 1,000 people are taking part in the forum, including family dynasties from every region of the country, families with many children, young and adoptive families, as well as families of Russian heroes and veterans of the special military operation.
The President will also meet with the participants and winners of the all-Russian family contests, The Family of the Year and This Runs in Our Family.
In 2023, the All-Russian Family of the Year contest was held for the eighth time. It featured 384 families who had won the regional stage (a total of 3,444 families competed).
About 600,000 people (more than 100,000 family teams) from all 89 regions of the country, together with their relatives, residing in 81 countries, took part in the contest This Runs in Our Family. The remote stage of the contest, where families work together to complete tasks on a variety of topics, takes place until January 31. In 2024, the families will compete in district semi-finals and finals.
