Winners of the prize:
– Alexander Anikin and Pavel Moseyev, of the Bochvar High Technology Research Institute of Inorganic Materials (VNIINM), for creating new energy sources for autonomous aerial systems and spacecraft;
– Dmitry Butylsky, of Kuban State University, for the creation of an innovative lithium production technology;
– Viktoria Vedyushkina, Vladislav Kibkalo and Gleb Belozyorov, of Lomonosov Moscow State University, for the discovery and study of generalised billiards and for the topographic modelling of Hamiltonian systems, which opens up new horizons in mathematics and physics;
– Artyom Isayev, of the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, for studying the mechanisms of bacteria and bacteriophage influence on viral infections.

Established in 2008, the Presidential Prize is the highest form of recognition of the young Russian researchers and professionals’ services to society and the state. It is awarded for research projects that make a significant contribution to the development of Russian science and the creation of new equipment and technologies, promoting innovative economic and social development, as well as strengthening Russia’s defence capability.
