Nadezhda Bokach, DSc in Chemistry, Associate Professor of St Petersburg State University. Ms Bokach was born on August 23, 1976 in Vologda.
Nadezhda Bokach’s fundamental research is focused on improving the methods of organic synthesis in the presence of platinum group elements and has made a significant contribution to the development of coordination, organic and organometallic chemistry.
She is the first researcher in the world to demonstrate the possibility of conducting a series of reactions that significantly enhance and complement existing approaches, and to show the key role of platinum in their implementation.
The approaches suggested by Nadezhda Bokach function as a kind of construction kit for a wide range of biologically active, functional, and unique supramolecular nanostructures. In addition, it becomes possible to synthesise organometallic compounds with predetermined properties (chemical, physical- chemical and biological), which opens up a number of areas of practical application.
The author's studies offer opportunities to create a new generation of anti-cancer drugs, as well as for research and development of innovative technologies for organic light-emitting diodes.
Nadezhda Bokach is the author of over 60 articles and five digests published in Russian and international journals (citation index – about 1000, Hirsch index – 17).
